UNPLAN Village Hakuba
A one-minute walk from the Tsugaike Kogen bus stop. A sociable hostel village with a shared lounge and café, where participants get to know each other. The evening events are centered here too.

Mixed shared room with shared toilet and shower. The easiest option if you are joining solo.

What is included in each ticket?
The free sign-up gets you into the member portal, community chat and open events, and gives you a 10% off code for booking UNPLAN Village Hakuba, for as many nights as you need.
There are three tickets.
SUMMIT PASS ($70) covers the full summit program on Oct 24–25, the welcome dinner and the Halloween party, and coworking at any time during the event, Oct 22 – Nov 1.
SUMMIT + STAY (from $385 — ¥60,000, charged in yen) adds 10 nights at UNPLAN Village Hakuba (Oct 22 – Nov 1).
ALL-INCLUSIVE (from $630 — ¥98,000) adds every optional tour on top.
With a Summit Pass, SUMMIT + STAY or ALL-INCLUSIVE, coworking is open to you at any time during the event, Oct 22 – Nov 1. Without a pass, it is available on the nights you stay. At UNPLAN Village Hakuba it is open 08:00–22:00.
Do I need to speak Japanese?
Not at all. The summit is run primarily in English, with bilingual community managers on site.
How do I get to Hakuba?
From Tokyo: Hokuriku Shinkansen to Nagano (~80 min), then express bus to Hakuba (~70 min). Direct highway buses from Shinjuku are also available.
Is accommodation included in the ticket?
Two plans include it: SUMMIT + STAY (from $385) and ALL-INCLUSIVE (from $630). The hotel charges these in yen — ¥60,000 and ¥98,000.
With the Summit Pass ($70) on its own, or as a free member, accommodation is not included — book UNPLAN Village Hakuba yourself from the member portal.
Every member, free members included, has a promo code on the member page that takes 10% off, for as many nights as you need. Accommodation is charged separately.
Can I join for only part of the 11 days?
Yes. The two summit days on Oct 24–25 are what we recommend most.
That said, remote workers from all over gather in Hakuba for the whole period. Coming just for the workation and the people — without the summit — is equally welcome. Stay a free member, and use the promo code on your member page to book UNPLAN Village Hakuba at 10% off, for as many nights as you need.
Without a pass, coworking is available on the nights you stay.
Coming from Osaka or Fukuoka (e.g. after Colive Fukuoka)?
From Osaka: Shinkansen to Nagoya, the Shinano limited express to Nagano, then the express bus to Hakuba — about 5–6 hours in total.
From Fukuoka, the smoothest route is flying to Tokyo (Haneda) and taking the Tokyo route (Hokuriku Shinkansen to Nagano, then the bus).
